All 50 Steam achievements with paraphrased unlock conditions, categorised by progression path. Includes the modifier-lock rules, the 100% completion route, and the secret-roster dependencies. Sourced from the Steam Community achievements page on 2026-05-31.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

How the achievement system works

The 50 achievements split into two structural groups: progression milestones (story / collection — clear path-of-least-resistance rewards) and skill feats (sidearm / weapon / trinket / challenge — ask for a specific mechanical demonstration). Most challenge feats name a specific item (Hammerama → Blaststrike Maul, Sniper Dagger → Whisper and Vesper, Mist Glide → Mist Jar Trinket), which means the achievement list doubles as the most authoritative item roster the game ships with.

The modifier lock rule.Per Scout addendum, Mina's 200+ difficulty modifier system has two directions — easier and harder. Opening modifiers in the easier direction locks affected achievements. Opening them in the harder direction does not. The Hardifier and Weirdifier achievements explicitly reward hard / weird modifier completions, confirming the “harder doesn't lock” clause on at least those two categories. COMPLETION TIME

How long for 100%

Wikipedia's plot summary doesn't pin a completion number, but GameTyrant's playtime breakdown (see how long) cites 31+ hoursfor full completion. That envelope assumes you aren't chasing the most-restrictive challenge feats — adding the Joule Junkie (boss kill at 1 HP using only sidearms), Untouchable (Spark Generator boss without damage), Hardifier (3 Hard Modifiers active), and Weirdifier (3 Weird Modifiers) runs on top easily doubles the estimate. 40-60 hours is a realistic 100% target with retries factored in.

Story achievements

Story / progression achievements fire along the main campaign path. Most unlock without thinking; First Purchase requires opening the shop loop, and Hollowin' Again! requires an NG+ clear. Traumatized is hidden on Steam — we keep the row but mark the unlock condition pending.

Sidearm achievements

Sidearm feats — one per confirmed sidearm. Each demands a specific mechanical demonstration (4 ricochets, 25-tile reach, screen-across throw kill, etc.). They double as the most authoritative sidearm-roster confirmation the game ships.

Challenge achievements

Challenge feats demand restraint — single-weapon kills, modifier-restricted runs, currency-denial runs. The hardest challenge feats (Joule Junkie, Lopsided, Below Zero) account for the bulk of late-100% playtime.

Collection / economy feats grind incrementally across the campaign. Big Spender (50K Bones), Pawned Off (max single-visit sell), Trash Juggler (environmental interaction). Feat Accompli is the 100% flag.

100% ROUTE

Recommended completion order

The 50 achievements have natural dependencies. Optimal order:

  1. Main story clear(single run) — Hollow Victory, Thorne Beater, Sparks of Genius, First Purchase. Open the campaign normally; these fire along the way. Picking up Glutton's Jug for context but not chasing items yet.
  2. NG+ unlock— Hollowin' Again! requires finishing NG+1. The cycle remixes modifiers and shuffles items, so don't commit to specific-weapon challenges until you know which items you have.
  3. Per-weapon feats— Hammerama (Maul), Sniper Dagger (Whisper and Vesper), Tip Tapper (Nightstar), Buster Bounce (Battery Buster), Perfect Guard (Hollower's Shield / Guardian Casket). One per weapon, each on a single boss attempt.
  4. Per-sidearm feats— Bounding Bonanza, Boomerang Blade, Skippin' Stone, Four-Point Hatchet, Wormhole, Bashful, Light 'em Up, Pitfall Parasol, Haunting Reach, Fogburst, Drag Race, Steed Hopper. Stack sidearm-feat attempts on the same combat encounters where possible.
  5. Trinket feats — Combo Conductor (Chain Capacitor 10s combo), Shock Tactician (Shock Flint boss kill), Plasma Survivor (Plasma Jug at 1 HP), Pendulum Master (Dodging Pendulum 10 parries), Beckoning Buddy (Beckoning Collar full-fight), Mist Glide (Mist Jar 3-phase), Opossum Impressem (10 tiles no ground). The Opossum chain is the hardest trinket feat to pin without specific glide-trinket setup.
  6. Economy / collection — Big Spender (50K Bones), Bonestone Tycoon (20K single conversion), Pawned Off, Trash Juggler. Grind-eligible — accumulate across runs.
  7. Challenge runs — Speed Runner (sub-4h), Bone Pincher (no shop spend), Bone Keeper (never lose Bones), Off the Grid (no Underlab), Hardifier (3 Hard), Weirdifier (3 Weird). Each demands a dedicated run.
  8. Min-max challenges — Lopsided (one stat to 10, others ≤ 3), Below Zero (-1% Collection), Joule Junkie (boss at 1 HP, sidearms only + Syringe Trinket), Masochist (3 Beastium Trinkets). Hardest, most precise.
  9. Renegade Roundup — defeat Armand, Maxi, Willis, Dugin, and Evra. Cross-references the secret bosses hub.
  10. Mini-games— Minigame Master (Racing, Ring Dive, Wrecker), Fishin' Reactor (Fish Board trophies). Treat as separate completion arcs.
  11. Feat Accompli — the 100% flag. Fires when every other achievement is unlocked.
MISSABLE

Missable achievements

Achievements that lock if you don't plan around them:

  • Bone Pincher — must finish without spending any Bones. Buying anything (including First Purchase!) locks this for the save. Schedule it on a dedicated run or NG+.
  • Bone Keeper — must finish without ever losing your Bones. A single death that forfeits Bones locks it.
  • Off the Grid— must finish without ever entering the Underlab. The Underlab is an optional area (confirmed by this achievement's existence), but it's tempting on first runs.
  • Speed Runner — sub-4-hour completion. The achievement texts confirm the modifier system stays unlocked for this run.
  • Below Zero— finish with -1% Collection or less. Implies you can decrement Collection through some mechanic — likely selling collectibles to Pawnty's Exchange below the count required for “owned”.
SECRET-BOSS GATE

Renegade Roundup

The Renegade Roundup achievement names 5 specific secret / rivalry bosses by name:

  • Armand — name confirmed by this achievement, specific region / unlock pending.
  • Maxi — the comic-rival whip-duel ambush inside Ossex. See Ossex bosses.
  • Willis — name confirmed by this achievement, specific region / unlock pending.
  • The Dugin — secret boss in Ossex (rabbit- form). See Secret bosses hub.
  • Evra — name confirmed by this achievement; also flagged by Scout addendum as a secret-boss candidate.

5 boss names confirmed by this achievement (a mix of secret bosses and recurring rivals; per-name secret-vs-not classification pending verification). Maxi, for instance, appears as a main-roster Ossex boss in our data layer rather than a hidden encounter. Mirren is named separately by Scout addendum as the Coltrane Peak secret boss; Midden / Dark Deluxy surface as candidate names in third-party roundups but remain unverified by us. Achievement questions

How long for 100% completion?

Realistically 40-60 hours including challenge-run retries. The base 31+h completionist estimate doesn't account for dedicated challenge runs (Bone Pincher, Speed Runner, Joule Junkie). See how long.

Do difficulty modifiers lock achievements?

Easier modifiers do. Harder modifiers don't — the Hardifier and Weirdifier achievements explicitly reward completing the game with 3 Hard / Weird Modifiers active. The per-achievement “modifier-locked” status for each row is pending verification — most rows are conservatively flagged null.

Which achievements require NG+?

Confirmed: Hollowin' Again! (finish in New Game Plus) is the only achievement that requires NG+ explicitly. Other achievements may be easier to chain in NG+ due to carry-over item / upgrade state, but only this one is gated.

What are secret / hidden achievements?

Traumatized is hidden on Steam — the public stats page lists the name but not the unlock condition. Its name implies a story / lore beat trigger. Pending verification of the trigger condition.

What's the Underlab?

An optional area, confirmed by the Off the Grid achievement (“finish without ever entering the Underlab”). Specific location pending verification — likely a hidden sub- area inside one of the Generator regions or Astral Orrery.

What's the Bone Sinterer?

A shop / conversion device, confirmed by the Bonestone Tycoon achievement (“convert over 20,000 in the Bone Sinterer in one go”). Likely the in-game NPC / station that exchanges Bones into another currency or upgrade material.

Who's Lena?

An NPC referenced in the Opossum Impressem achievement (“show Lena that you can clear 10 tiles without touching the ground”) — implies Lena is a movement-challenge gatekeeper, possibly in Ossex's safehouse cluster. Pending verification.

What's “Dread Mace”?

An upgrade to the Nightstar — referenced in the Tip Tapper achievement (“Kill 10 enemies in a row using Nightstar's Dread Mace upgrade, hitting only with the tip”). Confirms the upgrade preserves the chain-tip mechanic but is a higher-tier weapon state.

Are mini-games optional?

Confirmed three mini-game categories — Racing, Ring Dive, Wrecker (Minigame Master) — and a separate Fish Board mini-game (Fishin' Reactor). Each is optional for the main story but mandatory for 100%.

What's “Below Zero -1% Collection”?

Implies you can lose Collection percent — likely through selling collectibles at Pawnty's Exchange (the Pawned Off achievement) below a positive threshold. The exact mechanic for getting Collection negative is pending verification.
